Each
district has identified access to safe water and
sanitation as a priority community need, and will/have
sourced the best potential water points.
Concern Universal Mozambique are then notified and work in direct collaboration with the
local community, authorities and partners (the Farmers Union and the Christian
Council of Mozambique) to deliver the project. Click

CU Mozambique (NGO & registered charity) is our
lead partner in the Niassa Province. They have years
of experience in Mozambique with a small, yet highly
skilled and committed team.
- £2,500 will pay for a completed
shallow well holding 1000 litres of water
- £2,000 pays for 2 Ventilated
Pit Latrines (male & female)
- £1,000 will train 2 technicians & communities
to maintain a village well
- £1,000 will train a community
for 12 months on Hygiene & Sanitation
- £6500 will allow the construction
and management of a shallow well, 2
latrines plus 12 months community maintenance and sanitation training
- £130,000 raised will mean
that 20 communities will have safe water &
better sanitation in 2006
